Our story is a tale as old as time. Bethany was Justina’s boss.

There were signs early on that their relationship would be something more. For Justina, it was when Bethany first took off her mask in a meeting (this was when the pandemic was winding down) and she saw her smile for the first time. For Bethany, it was simpler. She remembers the first moment she saw Justina by the lockers. She could tell right away that she was drawn to her. They would flirt as they were closing the store while their peers rolled their eyes. Not long after, Justina transferred to another store, and that’s where their story really began. From late nights in the car, talking (and kissing) nonstop, to trips to the south of France.

A couple of winters later, on a cold December day, Bethany had just run her first 5K after having knee surgery. They spent the day shopping, watching Christmas movies, and eating lasagna. They were in bed drinking their tea, and Justina knew it was the moment she wanted to ask Bethany to marry her. Little did she know, Bethany had planned to propose the weekend after. While they were out getting their photos taken, Justina’s cousin Migle was at their home, decorating the apartment with flowers and candles. As they made their way toward the apartment, their photographer casually mentioned that she had always wanted to take photos of a couple by their Christmas tree. As Justina walked in, Bethany got down on one knee and asked her to spend her life with her. They celebrated that night with friends and family.
